Service Disclaimer & Repair Policy
Shoreline Automotive
Last Updated: March 10, 2026
The following policies apply to automotive services provided by Shoreline Automotive. These guidelines help ensure clear communication and fair service for all customers.
1. Estimates and Pricing
Estimates provided by Shoreline Automotive are based on the information available at the time of the request.
Because vehicle repairs often require inspection and diagnostic testing, final repair costs may differ from the initial estimate.
Additional repairs may be recommended if issues are discovered during the inspection or repair process. Customers will be notified before additional work is performed whenever possible.
2. Diagnostics
Vehicle diagnostics involve professional testing and inspection procedures used to identify mechanical or electrical issues.
Diagnostic fees may apply even if the customer chooses not to proceed with repairs.
In some cases, multiple issues may be present, and additional diagnostic work may be required to fully identify the cause of a problem.
3. Customer Authorization
No repair work will be completed without customer authorization.
Authorization may be provided through:
In person approval
Phone confirmation
Email or written approval
By approving repairs, the customer authorizes Shoreline Automotive to perform the agreed work and install necessary parts.
4. Parts and Materials
Shoreline Automotive uses quality replacement parts sourced from trusted suppliers.
Parts used during repairs may include:
New aftermarket parts
Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts
Remanufactured parts when appropriate
Parts availability and pricing may change due to supplier conditions.
Customers may request specific parts when available.
5. Repair Limitations
While our technicians strive to diagnose and repair vehicle issues accurately, modern vehicles can have complex mechanical and electronic systems.
In some cases:
Additional issues may appear after initial repairs
Some problems may require further testing or specialist equipment
Older vehicles may have components that fail unexpectedly during repair
Shoreline Automotive will communicate openly with customers if additional concerns arise.
6. Customer-Supplied Parts
Shoreline Automotive may decline installation of customer-supplied parts.
When customer-supplied parts are installed at the customer’s request:
No warranty is provided on the part
Labour warranties may be limited or excluded
This policy protects both the customer and the repair facility from unknown part quality.
7. Vehicle Condition
Vehicles brought in for service must be safe to operate within the shop environment.
If a vehicle presents a safety concern, Shoreline Automotive may recommend necessary safety repairs before continuing other work.
8. Storage and Abandoned Vehicles
Customers are expected to pick up their vehicle within a reasonable timeframe after repairs are completed.
Vehicles left at the facility without communication for extended periods may be subject to storage fees where permitted by law.
9. Warranty Information
Warranty coverage may vary depending on the type of repair and parts used.
Specific warranty details will be communicated to customers at the time of service.
